FUN CHICAGO VALENTINE’S DAY EVENTS TO ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR

  • Arcadia. Diners have a variety of options at Arcadia. You can choose from a tasting menu with five courses. It features the Rancho Gordo beans with lime and coconut, lobster pie made with black chanterelle mushroom and potato and peekytoe crab with red beets. You can customize the regular menu or go for the 10-course tasting.
  • Acme Hotel. Design your own Valentine’s Day party for the evening. If you are single, you can learn how to build your own robot companion for the evening under the guidance of a robotics expert. It is fun to do and takes the pressure off the evening. The Berkshire Room has craft cocktails in the Cash bar. You can also book a suite or hotel room, which comes with an admission to the Valentine’s day party free of charge.
  • Chicago Athletic Association. You get to celebrate the holiday through the weekend with stations that are equipped with stylish vintage typewriters to write love letters from. Cindy’s Patisserie has a great pop-up cafe, and you get cocktails and listen to a live DJ at the Game Room. You also have a variety of options for dinner at the Cherry Circle Room. Check out the lamb shank glazed with pomegranate, the Maine lobster risotto, white chocolate cremeux and peanut butter chocolate ganache.
  • Hilton Chicago. Along with a dinner buffet that is comprised of filet mignon and crab cakes, couples get to enjoy a wine tasting before getting to make their own vat of wine. Each couple gets to taste from 25 bottles (after they have been fermented for 10 weeks) apart from a customized bottle that they get to take home with them in the evening.
  • My Geeky Valentine. Geeks enjoy Valentine’s Day too. Geek Bar hosts a night of tabletop games along with a five-course meal for couples, double dates and friends. You can throw in a little competition for the evening, which can create a fun, new element for your relationship.

From swanky to simple, Chicago offers something for everyone on Valentine’s Day.
